Rally for the Libyan people TODAY
Show your support & solidarity with the Libyan people TODAY!
Join fellow Chicagoans TODAY to stand with the people of Libya as they struggle to rid themselves of more than forty years of dictatorial rule.
“The people of Libya have spoken, they have made it clear that enough is enough,” said Project M candidate and Libyan-American activist Ahmed Aduib. “Qaddafi has been in power 42 years too long, the people of Libya will never give up until they see a free Libya.”
Hundreds of Libyans have been killed and more than a thousand are missing. Colonel Qaddafi has committed gross human rights abuses and violations of international law.
“Our country affords us the enjoyment of certain inalienable liberties and rights,” emphasized Reema Ahmad, Director of Project Mobilize. “As Americans, we cannot stand at the wayside while the Libyan people express the same self-determination and struggle for freedom that is at the very foundation of our country’s values.”
