My name is Bassam S. Abdallah and I am running for Orland Park Library Trustee.

I grew up on the Southside of Chicago and now I would like to serve my community as an elected public official.  I attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale for college where I was heavily involved in politics.  While in college, I majored in political science and helped run the SUI 2000 presidential campaign for candidate Al Gore.  That experience is where I first got the inspiration to be involved in politics.  After college I attended the Thomas Cooley Law School in Michigan and then came back to the Chicagoland area where I have been practicing law since 2006.  I currently have a general practice law firm in Oak Lawn and reside in Orland Park with my wife and our wonderful new daughter.

I have always had an interest in politics and serving the community since college and now I have the opportunity to make that happen with my candidacy for Orland Park Library Trustee.  I know I can help improve the library and provide a new voice on the board to help shape the library in the coming years.

Please punch number 18 and vote for me on April 5th!
